Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence donates $2 million to advance adult stem cell research in treatment of heart disease
For more than a decade, Roberto Bolli, MD, has been working to revolutionize the treatment of heart failure by providing patients treatment derived from their own cardiac stem cells. Today, the University of Louisville announced that the Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence is providing just over $2 million to help Bolli move his research another step closer to being able to help potentially millions of people throughout the world.

Campus activities don’t stop at the University of Louisville with the end of classes this December. Seasonal music, dance and gift buying are all in store for the public and campus community, starting Dec. 6.
UofL names building to honor Kosair Charities
The University of Louisville Board of Trustees Nov. 21 named its newest research building in honor of Kosair Charities in recognition of its years’ long support in helping the university strive to fulfill its mandate as a nationally recognized metropolitan research university. The facility, on the health sciences campus at the corner of Hancock and Muhammad Ali, will hereby be known as the Kosair Charities Clinical and Translational Research Building.
