Startup emerges from Conn Center, earns national grant
Bert Thin Films LLC, a company originating from the University of Louisville’s Conn Center for Renewable Energy Research, has received a $225,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to develop and commercialize a new material to reduce the costs of manufacturing solar cells.
UofL Foundation to administer state small business program
The University of Louisville Foundation has been tabbed as the administrator for a program aimed at providing money to Kentucky’s small businesses. Governor Beshear announced the new program, called VenCap Kentucky, on Wednesday.
